In 30 years as the Head Coach at Virginia Union, Coach Robbins compiled a remarkable 713-194 record for a 78.6 winning percentage.  As the first white coach in CIAA history, he led the Panthers to 14 CIAA Conference Championships, 25 NCAA Tournament appearances, four 30-win seasons, 24 20-win seasons, seven Regional Championships, seven Final Fours and NCAA Division II National Championships is 1980, 1992 and 2005.

 

He has been honored with the Virginia Union Lifetime Coaching Award and has been inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
